This kit includes all you need to safely, easily, non-destructively and reversibly adapt your 1968-1971 era FL 55mm 1:1.2 manual focus lens to any modern Canon DSLR/SLR Camera with an EF or EF-S mount. The high tolerance CNC machined brass adapter has the latest Gen4 Camera programmable Dandelion autofocus-confirmation chip attached and preset to 55mm f/1.2. All tools and fasteners are provided and the conversion can be done in minutes with minimal skill required.

The brass adapter component has shims installed and tuned to place infinity focus exactly at the infinity mark of the lens allowing you to turn the focus ring to hard stop position and achieve exact infinity focus without having to fiddle to find the exact spot. Impressively, this conversion is 100% compatible meaning it gives infinity focus and clears the mirror on the 5D and 5D mark II cameras with the notoriously large mirror and wide mirror movement path that typically interferes with many adapted lens rear glass elements.

  • Thank you for your video, Was wondering if the FL mount is available on ebay.

  • @MegaDorimon soon.

  • Yes, Early January.

  • @fingered

if your adapter doesn't allow infinity focusing on most fd lenses, besides an af assist chip and over $100, what is the difference between your adapter and the one all metal machined one from ebay you first posted about on your flickr? That one adds about 5mm I think, and you said you could still focus to about 100 meters.

    Thanks!

  • @underwherewhore If you are referring to the 0.75mm EF-FD adapter that allows infinity focus on all super telephoto lenses and the maximum focusing distance without optical correction on all other nFD/FD/FL lenses rather than the lens specific one shown here, what you get for a hundred extra is a high precision adapter vs. complete junk that makes your lens feel like it will fall off and mine will still get you a 1/3 distance farther focusing.
