This is a great way to find out if you want to get a mac or not.

@MrJonnyJones Did you ever give the specific distro a try? SnowyWindOSX.

Hi there,
Would you be able to help me, I have the u100 plus and am attempting to do the same as I just love mac. I'm trying to do it with a retail version of osx.
Woud you have a guide to how you did yours by any chance?
thanx in advance

Thanks for the extremely quick reply, but unfortunately I do not have an external DVD drive, nor the patience to do it the "hard way", at least in my opinion, compared to the ultra-easy way I installed Leopard a little over a year ago. Still, thanks a lot for the info!

Great video, trying this myself.
By the way, it's pronounced 'OS Ten'!

@Mike40135 Some people say Snow Leopard, some people say OS 10, apologies. I eventually gave up running 'OS 10' on my MSI, each time I booted it was a hope that it would indeed boot. So I'm now running Windows 7.

Just a question: did you use snowywindosx to do this, or did you use a vanilla install? Also, how easy was the process (IE, as easy as msiwindosx86 installation, which required no kext installs) Also, did or could you use the gma950.pkg file to make the desktop 1024x600?
Thanks in advance, and sorry for the long question :)

Hi there, I used the Chameleon CD/Snow Leopard upgrade technique, known as Boot132 I think. So yes a Vanilla install. Executed the EFI Finisher.pkg once installed. Really easy, no terminal work at all! Didn't have to do anything for the 1024x600 resolution, all the necessary kexts are in the EFI package so after a restart everything worked as it should :-)
