In my line of work no gi chokes are important.
-
This guy is good, he knows what it takes. I've been grappling for 30 years.
-
hmmm... I like the arm triangle from neon addition. Looks like it'd hurt the neck more than choke, though, yes?

That's a nice move Sam Stout.

love it man, thanks!

@prowrestlerfighter These techniques are broken down smoothly and clearly. The ability to transition from submission to submission seamlessly and fluidly takes a lot of time on the mat. A lot. There is nothing complicated about it once you put your time in and understand jiu-jitsu. Don't expect these to work in a "real fight" if you never drill them or train them against a resisting opponent.

@LionPrideBJJ fantastic choke series just got done drilling the crap out of part one, baseball bat, brabo etc, really enjoyed them and they wroked really well! big thanks for the demonstrations, looking forward to more!

Very interesting, a collection of no gi chokes is very useful because it can be used in real fight. But I think you just made it all look too complicated...
Keep trying, fren, it works, I promise. :)

Nogifunk, yes that grip adds pressure to the choke. I got that from Baret Yoshida.
Eagle no offense taken, I wish
I could fix it somehow, but I don't have the original tape anymore and I am probably not going to reshoot the original series anytime soon, as i have a lot of other things i'm working on. But if and when I shoot an update, I'll make sure the sound quality is better. :)

I have to turn up the volume to hear what you're saying, and even then there's too much background noise. repost without. good techniques otherwise.

Hmm...as I posted this a LONG time ago and you are the first one to have a sound issue, I am going to respectfully suggest that the issue lies on your end and not the video. Hope you can get something from it anyway. I don't have the source video for it anymore anyway. One of these days I might shoot an update, but the original is as is, fren.

difficulty with choke. i am keeping the grip as loose as possible without losing it. i am making sure to keep the arm that goes across his chest in a palm up position.
But still, getting both fore arms into a position to act as a blood choke is still nearly impossible for me. the far side seems fine but the near side usually ends up going across the side of his face or jawline instead of across his throat. Please do not reply to this if you do not have extensive knowledge of this choke.

Hey bro, hard to say the exact issue without seeing you do it. You might try leaning your head down toward his hips more as you set your arms into place. This should get your forearms closer to his chest, and therefore deeper under his jawline. I saw you said you have short, thick arms...
