Whats your opinion on starting BASE jumping in Lauterbrunnen?

Do you think, it's a good spot for the first few jumps or would you consider Lauterbrunnen for more experienced jumpers?

(Not that I'm anywhere near, to start BASE, but you know... it would be kind of a pity, living in Switzerland and not getting into BASE)

Its definitely not a good place to start jumping. You should either do your progression from higher and more overhangig big walls, or do quite a lot of bridgejumps or similar safer low jumps, to learn exits and canopy control first. In lauterbrunnen there is not much time to correct any problems you might experience.

Hey Halvor,

I'm looking at hitting up Brento next spring.  I've done a few BASE jumps now but I'm keen to start getting into the sport a lot more. Is there a hostel or cheap accommodation where most BASE jumpers stay when in the area?? I'll most likely be heading there by myself or maybe one other. We'll have a car but as you say and from what I've heard you need two cars. Thanks for help bud.

hm...yeah, you can camp at the field by the bar, or ask around there whats the places people stay at. I've stayed a couple different places. Its a farm quite close thats quite popular i think.

Guess, you're right, just watched some videos with 180s in it, looked pretty scary.

By the way, intersting choice of music for this vid, it kinda gives a feel of threat and awe, instead of pure joy or calmness, like in the most of the wingsuit videos around youtube.
