  • i have a question. Do you think it's necessary to bring seasickness medication onboard? My brother gets car sick and was debating whether or not to bring medication.

  • I have never had a problem with seasickness. If it does bother you I believe the infermary will give you something, otherwise just find the lowest spot you can get to in the center of the ship and you should feel better

  • Have you ever been on a cruise in Aprill/

  • No, we typically go late January or early Feb. this trip was an exception going in August

  • @WessBreeden -- I'm assuming you went down to either the Carribean or Bahamas in Jan/Feb? Was the weather at least warm? I'm looking into booking a Carnival Pride cruise to Bahamas out of Baltimore end of November. This will be my first cruise and I hope it's not a complete fail because of nasty weather :P.

  • We went to the Bahamas but we went in September, not Jan/Feb. November should be decent weather, the first 2 days are all that really matter... once you're south of Florida you should be fine.

  • @ClayAdventures sorry to hr tht too..we booked late so we payed a mound of money for this trip since we got 3 rooms...atleast there was good weather for you..waterslide was closed 95% of the time and it was extremely windy..my whole fam got sea sick..I suggest royal Carribean if you want to have a rl blast...plus on this ship..FOOD. friend is on it now...prob having a good time..liberty of the sea=love love love that ship...although it is more upscale with food its fun!

  • @TheCClolz i am SO sorry to hear that! i live on the east coast so we experienced the hurricane. I heard about what happened on the 21st cruise though and i thought it was awful! we didnt have that much of a good cruise either, after we sailed, the second day have really bad and high winds and the boat rocked ALOT! so in the end, me and my mom both got really seasick (sigh) and it left the rest of the trip in a down mood.

  • @ClayAdventures hope you had a good cruise........it had been ruined by the storm and im bk a day early cause of it, i missed nassau and in freeport it was raining pretty bad...rlly bad expierence

  • @ClayAdventures sorry i was on the wrong account and wel it was my first cruise, i didnt feel it much after i took the meds, have a great time im excited for myne too its in (now) 10days :)!!!

  • @Stefman398 wow that sounds terrible! I personally do not get carsick (and hopefully seasick) but now im getting suspicious. my cruise for pride is in 5 days. (hehe VERY excited!) and it's going to be my first one.

Can you usually feeling the rocking of the ship onboard?

  • @ClayAdventures they had some on royal Caribbean...it was my first cruise last yr and on day 2 my head was hurting barley could walk and was nauseous took some seasickness meds, felt better! whens ur cruise for pride!?

  • @WessBreeden thank you! my brother decided to bring some anyways (he's not one to listen to other people). I guess he thinks it's just to be safe.
