I think they simply formed valid midi messages and sent them to the computer. Painful, and slow, but not overwhelmingly difficult, as long as you have a good reference on the midi format.

How do you make your outputs blink..., I've used AB and festo with no problem, and s7 is much better, but i can´t figure how to blink lamps...

Yes, very interesting indeed. Just wondering what the PLC is exactly doing here? Seems like the music is played of a computer and certain outputs blink at certain frequencies. I don't think you generate MIDI output with the PLC, or do you?

hello,did you simply use a bunch of timers,or did use some sort of analog input card,could you send me a copy of the code.

Hi Tommee!
I used 2 timers, one going from 0 to 999 and the other incrementing each time the first is reset to 0. Then the rest of it is done by using comparitors which set and unset the output bits at the different times.
