  • nice !! and thank you, you made me think about this for a while. it means playing directly h4 or g4 looses a tempo for white. in that case black could play ... Qa5 12.Kb1 Rfc8 and there's no Nd5 anymore because after Nxe7 black could play Kf8. I never played the dragon but I'd love to learn about it. do you know other "fine" moves in this variation without Bc4 ?

  • Directly Qa5 is wrong. But it's instructive to see why: Then you can see the point of Kb1!

After ...Qa5? the idea is Nd5!, winning a pawn: ...Qxd2 (no check!!) Nxe7+ Kh8 and then taking the Queen with a extra pawn (+-).

That's the reason why black is "losing thetempo" with Qc7. :-)

  • she hypnotised him !! :) the poor guy became slower and slooower aaaaand sloooowerrrr... and then made e terrible move. maybe he was in love !?

    I don't understand se the moveorder Qc7 - Qa5 ... what's wrong with directly Qa5 ?

  • he looked so dejected at the end there, looks like an easy win good game!
