Saints Golf Course Grounds Superintendent, Ralph Dakin, explains the importance of breaking up firm playing surfaces. The process allows more water and air to penetrate the surface which requires less water to keep the turf alive. Overall, this maintenance leads to a more enjoyable experience on the golf course.
