Gen. Pace has every right to stand up for his moral Christian values, just as Ssgt Alva has the right to state his. Thank God we live in a country that allows people the freedom to speak their mind and uphold high moral values. Semper Fi Gen. Pace

I am catholic but I don't care if soldiers are gay sexuality has nothing to do with the service is probably good for the other soldiers if they want to have sex handy I am just kidding" gays are humans that think smart with feelings and brain that works maybe even better than some homophobic if I ever turn to be gay I'd try a military guy it just ignorance as long as they do their job instead of graving each other's riffles while in duty

@nossful - The military is conducting unjust searches and is selectively enforcing DADT. There have cases where private e-mails, cell phones, and other personal information were searched in order for discharges.
There have been cases where outside parties reported soldiers, such as the police with a soldier who married her partner and the police reported it.
There have been cases where solider under investigation were sent into combat but then discharged only after they did their duty.

@nossful - DADT benefits no one. In 1993, prejudice of military commanders was so strong that the myth about unit morale and cohesion was invented. You can read an article in the Washington Post about the myths of DADT. The US military IS an equal opportunity employer - if a person can do the job. DADT ONLY applies to gays and lesbians which is discriminatory and also unconstitutional. Gays and lesbians must lie whereas heterosexuals can talk all they want about their dating, sex, love, etc.
-
Ok, so if we leave religion completely out of the issue, DADT is still a benefit for homos in the military. It acts as a live and let live policy that literally looks the other way at law being broken. Think of it as a get out of jail free card.
The US military is not an equal opportunity employer. If you don't like the rules then don't apply. You can serve your country in other ways. What exactly is the problem???.

@nossful - christianity and islam are both extremely immoral and dangerous religions that must be opposed.
A person's sexual orientation isn't the problem; faith is the problem. If it wasn't for fundamentalist christians trying to control our military, DADT wouldn't exist. DADT is a product of faith-based prejudice.
From the war on terror, to Iran, to DADT, to LGBT suicides, to child abuse, to people who want to impose nonsense in schools; religion is the greatest threat to our society.
-
@nossful - You are wrong. christians are the ones that should be gleeful that they are allowed to promote their filthy immoral and false religion in the military.
James Madison was strongly against there being chaplains in the military.
After all, religion is the main reason there is even a war on terror to begin with.
Your answer is to use one religion, which is immoral and dangerous, to weaken our military, so that another religion can cause even more immorality and danger.
