I can totally understand how fighting a War on Poverty and passing the Civil Rights Act was "twisted"...

Less than 5% of all emergency room expenditures go to illegal immigrants, and illegal immigrants are no more likely to use emergency room care than other immigrants or American citizens.
Also, "illegals" isn't a word.

As I said, both republicans and democrats overwhelmingly supported both the start of the war and its expansion. The anti-war movement didn't take off until late in LBJ's term, when it was clear that the expansion wasn't working.
Russia was sufficiently scared of Kennedy to back down ignominiously during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and China never started a war against the US at any point (they only grudgingly supported the Vietcong because they didn't want the USSR gaining too much influence).

Even legal immigrants are ineligible for Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps, welfare, or any other government program until they've been in this country continuously for 5 years, by which point many of them are in the process of applying for citizenship.
Immigrants come to the US because they want to work and there are few opportunities in their home countries, not because they want to mooch off of our social safety net. Even qualified immigrants apply for welfare at a lower rate than "natives".

Also before LBJ there was not medicare and medicaid which incentivized people to move to America from countries which did not have these. Usually in most cases do not cross seas to get incentives only cross border from neighbouring countries. For example look at the massive inflow of Romanians and Bulgarians into Germany. So not only the cream of the crop of latinos move to america. So yes the number of achievement cases to number of citizen in the latino society would be considerably lower.

Yes I do know JFK started the war. JFK made his intentions clear as soon as he took oath. But if not for LBJ's expansion there would not have been huge amount of casualties. Also Russia and China viewed both LBJ and Kennedy as weaker leader when compared to Eisenhower so they didn't dare to start a war. There are 11 million illegal immigrants in America how many of them are Europeans. How many of them are eastern European assylum seekers? LBJ did not deal with the fact and strengthen the border

1) Eisenhower was right. However, the majority of Republicans in the early 1960s supported the war.
2) The war started under Kennedy, not LBJ. LBJ lied to expand the war, not to start it.
3) I never said that only Europeans could be smart people. Are you implying that South American, Mexican, and Eastern European people are less intelligent than West Europeans?
4) "Principles" are hollow comfort to families of the 10,000 Americans who die unnecessarily from guns each year.

But Eisenhower talked especially about dangers of any such war. Also Lyndon's administration lied through their teeth about the war to get it started. The main immigration that increased to US is non-european mainly south american, mexican and eastern european. The actual european immigrants ratio got reduced. US is not founded in the same principles as UK, Germany or Japan. They also have high income tax vat and gasoline is sold at more than twice the price.

The Vietnam War had bipartisan support at its inception.
Gun control and free immigration are both positives for society. The more immigrants you have, the greater the odds of having the next Einstein, Carnegie, or von Braun (all immigrants) in the US. If you want to know the results of gun control, look no further than Japan, UK, France, Germany, and every other civilized country.
