An American Crime ~ Sylvia and Jenny Likens ~ How To Save A Life (REMAKE)

this is a video for the amazing movie an american crime. it is based on the true story of sylvia likens. sylvia marie likens (16) and her sister, jenny fay likens (15), were left in the care of gertrude baniszewski (aka gerty). there parents had offered gerty $20 a week to care for jenny and sylvia. there parents were traveling with the carnival. gerty had 7 children, all of which helped beat, burn, and torture sylvia. the real reason they tortured sylvia is unknown. they threw her against a wall, beat her, smacked her, punched her, and extinguished there ciggarettes on her. she died of shock, internal bleeding, and head trauma. jenny also recieved beatings but not as severe as sylvias. jenny was quiet and frail because of having polio when she was younger

this video is from jenny's point of view. i thought that there are a lot of videos of sylvia (there should be, her story is so sad and should b known) but no one really shows jennys side. she didnt tell anyone, and because of that her sister was killed. (im not blaming jenny btw)

i remade this video, because i thought the song went perfectly with the movie and that it really had potential to be a very good video. so, thats how this came. i hope u like it. it took me a very long time to make and i got very frustrated at sony vegas in the progress. lol but enjoy and spread awareness

This song is perfect for how Jenny and Sylvia are as sisters in the movie. I can only imagine the pain on both sides, Sylvia was being tortured and Jenny had to watch. Great job, I know Sylvia would be proud. : )
