GROB Viking Winch launch

This is a vid from my 2010 scholarship they the air cadets gave me for FREE. In the end i got to go solo and attain my silver wings which is pretty cool. This vid is of a winch launch, this would launch the glider from 0-80 mph in about 4/5 seconds in the space of about 15m. Closest thing that a civilian pilot could get to a carrier catapult launch. In Oct 2011 I got a flying scholarship which gives me 12hrs FREE flying again and I'm expected to fly so solo, so subscribe to see video from that!
