At least then we could still have those, "Oh shit," during the off chance moments where somebody actually has a gun (I can't recall, but I think there was a moment like that in the original) - but even in a scenario like that, I still would prefer if they left the Warriors alone.

Yeah, I have no idea how they're going to make guns work in a remake. The Warriors movie was flat out just gang brawling for like an hour. A remake I'd be less negative to would be in the future - like not post-apocalyptic, but maybe somewhat like what the world would've been like in cities during the first mad max. Streets controlled by gangs, guns are hard to come by so knives, bats, chains etc. Are kind of the status quo.
