We met some guys from ADVrider to ride some big bikes in the dirt around California City, CA. We departed from Orange County with an F800GS, a pair of GSA's and an R1200GS. There was another F800GS, a KTM950, a DR650 and some other enduros in the pack once we got to the meeting point. We were all ready to rock so one dude actually ripped down the shoulder on the side of the highway past some slower traffic on the way there 0:15. The bigger bikes got the worst of the sandy desert washes 2:33 but there was plenty of help nearby to get them rolling again. Our trusty guides got us to the Husky Memorial 3:25, Cuddeback Dry Lake 5:10, and finally Hoffmann Tower. All in all, good day and about 400 miles round trip. We'll be out there again next month. On to the next one. -Buster
