Stupid. Black women have all the opportunities. You know why you have pain? You date and have sex with these no-good men. I've seen before and even in my family. My mother goes through it. She married the wrong type, but struggling to make ends-meet while he's at home fired from his job for being a fool. Yeah, your fault.

Well, I need to work on not letting it consume me, because it discourages me sometimes. It does me good to know Im not the only one who notices these issues, that makes it bearable. Thanks for responding.
There is power in knowledge and knowing you're not alone!
Black Pain: "It Just Looks Like We're Not Hurting" is a healing read. Mental illness in our community and in society at large is not talked about enough. Thank you for sharing your story, and all of the stories of those who have been struggling and dealing with the pain. This book is a must read for those who have a mental illness or love someone that does.
