Joe demonstrates the 10-string classical guitar in this one, along with Wallace and Lad, AND Dan Horn and Jody .... and an appearance (and story) by Aunt Maude!
I watched W & L from the sixties up until the last. It was a sad day when Lad died. It was just a corny kid show but I swear some of the funniest things I have ever seen, happened on Wallace and Ladmo. I was in the 7th grade with Ladmo's daughter.
I never got a Ladmo bag and it has scarred me for life!
Remember when those guys from that bar down on 75th and Bell used to call in and request Roger Ram Jet Cartoons? Back in the 70's? Phoenix was pretty nice, back in the day. I hate it now. I left
The tuning he explains is really only used by J Marlow. For the normal tuning of this guitar and a good explanation see the site tenstringguitar (dot) INFO
YEs something so special about watching this. I grew up in Phoenix and this was part of my life. Watching this now across the country makes me feel like I'm there again.
I grew up in west Phoenix and I cried like a baby the day I heard Ladmo died. We all watched it WAY more in college for an afternoon rest. Man, I miss those innocent days.
