The older audis (e.g. the type 85 and type 89 audi 80 and 90 quattro and associated coupe) did have a centre and rear differential lock, which allowed you to maintain the torque split at 50-50. You can make an AWD more tail-happy by adjusting suspension setup, namely increasing rear anti roll bar stiffness.

Not true JELH, only some of the cars you mention have that 60-40 torque split under normal driving conditions (RS6 and B7 RS4 I think). they still have the capacity to proportion the torque up to 80-20, i think was the statistic, to the wheels with more traction. They are NOT fixed at 50-50 or 60-40.

what are they saying about Subarus when they mention them in comparison in the video?

AWD is the best drifter, idiot.

how does it drift if its AWD?
lol.. anyone who claims awd drifts better clearly has never drifted.

Actually, RWD is the best for drifting.
AWD cars generally have a 50/50 configuration, which always will make them understeer, unless you apply the Scandinavian flick.
It depends of how the manufacturer split the torque.
The Audi RS4 b5/b7, RS6 c5, S4 V8, S6 V8/V10, S8 V8/V10 have 60% of the power on the rear wheels and only 40% on the front.
