No, large ponds are good for goldfish. The gallon to goldfish size ratio has to be within the comfort level, and goldfish love lots of space, the more space the better. They are healthier, and less stressed that way. Overcrowding is no good. It can be 10 gallons per 3 inches of goldfish body I hear.
I thought that goldfish were found their beginnings with a chinese empire where he goldfish's color was royal and that koi were bred by the japanese as wild caught carp
You can't compare these fishes to normal (gold)fish! Japanese and Chinese are the best goldfish breeders in the world. They know what they're doing and they know how to keep strong and healthy fish. Most of these goldfish swim very slow, putting them in large ponds or aquaria will only make them tired. By the way the water quality in Japan is much more different thn the water in the Netherlands!!
i wish someone translated or gave a hint on what this says, i don't get any of it but i love goldfishy, here in Chile where i live there aren't many breeds, i have 4 in a nice tank but i dream of someday having a pond, inside the house cause cats are savage here get into gardens all the time ¬¬# once one got into my room cause of the open window almost ate them... stupid cats i had to move my fishy to the living room so they'd be safe as they're 6 years old and no animal has lasted me this long
first of all do you have any idea of what you are saying? How would you like it if i put you in a closet, lock you up, while letting other people Like not "Asian" living in big and comfortable house. After all you are asian. You are different then white/black or others. Dont flame me, i'm asian. My point is it doesn't matter. Fish are fish and they all require the same requirement. that is why dog in asia is skinny and unhealthy.
