During the last episode when this song came on, my heart lurched and I started to cry. I wish the series never ended. I think I'm going to go cry again...but...crying in a happy way. :'3
i lost my babysister in 09 ...your youuger sibling should never go before you ... i dedicated this song to her because she she was my best friend and my brighteyes ...i miss you little sister my life is empty without you .
this song always makes me cry, it reminds me when i was little and i always used to watch the Watership down dvd i have, :') just love this song so much.
With me I like both version. But I much prefere Art Garfunkle's version, because it show the mood of scene perfectly. When you hear it, you can definatly feel the worry and sadness that Fiver felt when looking for Hazel after he almost died. But again I like BOTH versions.
I definitely preferred Art Garfunkel's rendition. It felt more melancholy. Gately's style almost makes the song a little too corny, although this may be just down to the fact that I don't care for this style of singing. I do like the bass on this rendition. It has a slightly richer tone than on the original, which I think contributes the the somewhat warmer atmosphere in this rendition.
I do prefer the original, but this is far from being a bad rendition.
