6" custom made rocket. This multi staged rocket has room for 5 motors (central 54mm motor with 4 38mm) It has an avionics bay and with timers this rocket can go over 18,000 feet. This is the first launch. I took out the center section and launched it on a Aerotech J570 White Lighting. I used a Rocketman R12C chute.

  • olderanddecrepit: Judging by your name you are either old or mentally decrepit. In High Power Rocketry the rockets are referenced by diameter not height.

The rocket is 6" in DIAMETER....

Thank you for making an idiot of yourself four times by posting the same ignorant statements four times.

  • how that 18,000 ft that for sure LOL no.

  • It has room for 5 motors (1 central 54mm & 4 38mm) with a timer and delayed-timed ignitions it can easily exceed 18,000. Either you are an idiot or you know nothing about HPR. Either way it does not matter since I'm sure you are 12 and hacking into your parents youtube account.

  • ha ha the guy talking about 6 inches has no idea what the hell hes talking about....! hay you hes talking about the diamature of the dam rocket, not how tall it is, you would piss your pants if you knew just how much it cost to lounch a rocket of that size...!

  • @Bacchus49 Central K550, and two sets of J570

    s should do it. ;)

  • The lack of intelligence on the Internet is disquieting to real rocket scientists. I'm trying to program a suite of programs using C++ to do rocket science, but I'm hung up on how to do calculus in C++ easily. I'll figure it out, and build my own motors and engines. Now shut the lights off and watch the movie, kids.

Great shot! Such a bird wants dead air on a clear day!

  • @Bacchus49 um, no. well sorry im on a diff account. and no, im not 12. and no, my parents dont even know what Youtube is. lol.

  • @Blabist hey, see those clouds? people don't like launching above clouds for a bunch of reasons, one of which being that it's impossible to track where it goes, and most clouds are below 18000 ft. L2 learn

  • Both. Old and a mental case. Thanks for setting me straight and confirming my deficiencies.

  • If this is a 6" (six inch) rocket, and the subject rocket is in the picture, either the guy standing next to the rocket is three inches tall or the "rocket scientist" that posted this needs to go back and study mathematics and the symbols associated with it. Also, if it meant to say 6 FOOT rocket, the guy next to it is 3 feet tall.
