@bustybabesforyou This movie and Threads gave me nightmares for year too, and I'm tired of being afraid. Just calm down and have a laugh - that's how you take the power away from fear.
As for your concerns about Israel - that's why we need to limit the political power of the christian right as much as possible. Those are the people who want to support Israel no matter what stupid thing they do, with the vague hope that a war in the middle east will being about the second coming of jesus.

I honestly didn't get nightmares from it sure it was kinda scary but i didn't give me nightmares.

@Vankpker034 You had to be there to get the full effect. "There" meaning the early-mid 80's when this sort of scenario was much more likely to be played out for real. Not just possible, but people thought of it as something that would happen eventually. It was a very fatalistic time, especially for people who saw these as kids. The underlying message seemed to be "There's no point in preparing you for the future, because THIS is your future. If you even live to see it."
