Margaret Maye singing music of the night. Pictures are from one of Margaret's favorite places Coronado Island, San Diego, South Mountain in Phoenix Arizona, Sedona and Grand Canyon.
The Hotel del Coronado is a beachfront luxury hotel in the city of Coronado, just across the San Diego Bay from San Diego, California. It is one of the few surviving examples of an American architectural genre: the wooden Victorian beach resort. It is one of the oldest and largest all-wooden buildings in California and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1977. When it opened in 1888, it was the largest resort hotel in the world and the first to use electrical lighting. It has hosted presidents, royalty, and celebrities throughout the years. The hotel has been featured in numerous movies including: Some Like It Hot (which starred Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemmon, and Tony Curtis).
Andrew Lloyd Weber married singer/dancer Sarah Brightman on 22 March 1984. He cast Brightman as Christine, the lead role in his musical, The Phantom of the Opera (1986 musical). They divorced in 1990 but remained friends. There are some great renditions of Music of the Night on YOUTUBE from the likes of Colm Wilkinson, Sarah Brightman, Katherine Jenkins, Michael Crawford, Teatro etc.

Adele is amazing, take a listen to her songs such as "Someone like you", "Rolling in the deep" and "Set fire to the rain". As expected, Adele's "21" spends week after week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, looks like its on its way.

  • Beautifully sung Mrs.Margaret, I can only envy your beautiful voice.

  • dont miss Anna on NBC today.

  • What a wonderful, lovely and beautiful voice!

  • No musical instrument can match the tonal and emotional expression of Margaret's voice in this exceptional. dare I say, supreme rendition of "Music of the Night". Listen to it, you will escape on a cloud of tenderness.

  • In "Music of the Night," Maye's registers, as much as the limited medium of YouTube can convey them to us -- for those of us never having been privileged to hear her in a live performance --, strike me as brilliant (clear, pitch perfect), strong (unwavering), and beautiful (pleasurable, moving)! Why was I not already familiar with her work before my hearing her performance of "Music of the Night" here on YouTube?
