Thanks a lot for the reply ;) I think I'm gonna get the new version of the mic. I'm buying the Beachtek anyways because my camera only has 2,5mm plugin :S
Greetz!

sounds great. like a v/o, even.

...just noticed (on the other recording) you said it was cam noise (not ac)!

Testing with youtube compression is like sticking your head in a bucket of ....! (said with love, of course!) That said, this arrangement is 'cleaner' but less dynamic, muffled, and lacks low end...you gotta wonder if the low-end rumble from the other test is more accurately capturing everything (ie, air conditioner???) It was richer.

With regards to comparability testing, I have some questions. Where both mikes set at the same distance and same volume & tone levels or were they adjusted using some other means? The ecm44b mic recording was made using a beachtek mixer-xlr camcorder adapter. How much of the sound improvement is attributed to the beachtek mixer. What about recording a test session of the Sony ms907 with the Beachtek? That would be a more comparable comparision than the one you have provided.

The Sony ecm44b is much clearer than the Sony Ms907. the 44b condenser mike lavalier sells for about double the cost of the MS907: discount is about $125 for the ecm44b compared to $65 for the ms907. But what a difference! I own a MS907 (bought for $25 on ebay) and will definitely check out the ECM44b! Thanks for the test
Great sound, at what distance from your face were you recording with the microphone?

Thanks.I found this lav to be flat for spoken sound. It's pinned on my shirt at the solar plexus ;) about 16" from my mouth

Thanks. Yes the ECM44B & Sennheiser EW100 are lapel mic and the rest are shotgun or simply camcorder mounted mics
