How to downgrade from 1.1.3 to 1.1.1!!!

UPDATE: 2-05-08

For best results restore to 1.1.1.

iPod 1.1.1 Firmware:

This method of downgrading will erase all of your music and videos you have on your iPod, but all of the other methods delete your music and videos as well.

1. Make sure you are running 1.1.3 firmware.

2. Make sure your iPod is connected to the computer, and you can turn your ipod on and see the homescreen.

3. While your iPod is at the homescreen and turned on, hold Power and Home to put it in to a Firmware downgrade. When the iPod disappears from your computer release the power button, when it reappears release the home button.
Note: if you are having trouble getting your iPod to reappear release the home button as well.

4. When your iPod reconnects, go into your iPod, hold Shift on your keyboard, and click Restore.

5. Look for the iTunes firmware that you just downloaded, click it, and click Open. Your iPod is now underway to become 1.1.1 Firmware!!

6. When the restore is finally fininished, your iPod will be running the 1.1.1 Firmware!!

i do everything rite an instead of 1.1.1 it makes it a 1.1 then i go 2 jailbreakme an it says i dont hav the rite software 2 use it :(

try restoring your ipod in the 1.1.1 firmware. its basically the same as upgrading it. plug your ipod in. hold shift, and look for the 1.1.1 firmware. then try to go to jailbreakme.

it says unknown error 1 occured what did i do wrong? i cant get it in the recovery moode it jst dnt work i fink it cuz my home button dnt work very well

the problem is definitly about the recovery mode. You NEED to put it in recovery mode for this to work.

sk8x4lf, if ur trying to downgrading from 1.1.3/1.1.4, and uve bought the $20 upgrade, when u downgrade, just sync ur ipod 2 itunes nd the apps should b there. tht should work

what was the point of buying them if you downgrade? and yes i think it will erase, not sure....but if you downgrade, u can get the apps back for free from installer...so theres no difference except that you lose money...
