  • Beat is tight as hell

  • You can't miss JODY WATLEY she shines on her own~

  • disco right on my finger

  • Great disco from the scratch...

  • @jwatley. thank you so much for clarifying that. But did you guys go on ST and perform in those now infameous jumpsuits:))) Or was this video your only performance with this song? It looks like so much fun to perform. I love it.

  • @pecantan00023 Wow, thanks for that. My sister keeps telling me they performed on ST in white jumpsuits. I just wish Jody, Jeffery or Gerald could shed some light on this. She says she's not going crazy, but I'm having second thoughts, LOL.:)))

  • @pecantan00023 @Joy77 Actually, I am in the white jumpsuit on the illustrated cover of "Uptown Festival" with Gary Mumford and Jeffrey Daniel. We did a photo session (the photo used for the illustration can be seen in Jody Watley Evolving Style Shalamar and Beyond Video, it's a black and white). Cleo of course sang on Uptown Festival single only. Gary, Jeffrey and I did a promotional tour for Shalamar before Gary decided show business wasn't for him and I believe he wanted to go into ministry.

  • @Joy77 The three people on the front of the uptown festival lp in those white jump suits are Jeffery Daniels, Cleo Kennedy and Gary Mumford. Pat Powdrell of the Ikettes ( Ike and Tina) was also one of the key vocalists on "Uptown Festival" but is not pictured. This album was recorded as the foundation of shalamar. Cleo was replaced by Jody and Gary was replaced by gerald brown (the soultrain gang) who howard hewett later replaced.

  • HAHA.THIS IS VERY FUNNY OLD SCHOOL DISCO!!!!
