  • @HondoMcRaven So this is what you really think German woodlands look like? Gloomy, foggy and scary somehow because this is where all the bad people are living? I've seen places in Pennsylvania when I was there that looked exactely like how you explain,... seemes a bit like a predjudice for me... It's Germany not Siberia

  • Well, I guess you found the perfect day, weather, fog, autumn trees etc to catch 100% the mood of this fearsome and dark forest.

Since i've been there a few years ago, I'm charmed by the history af this small part of landscape. Thx for the documentary.

  • @JaworekMark still its right what your father tells you, im from germany and i am still live near this forest, and i do ww2 re-enactment on the german side. if you are in this forest... so as a german i got a good feeling, but all american guys who i am playing for a movie szene got a bad feeling about this forest

  • @ 6:48 he is wrong. Eisenhower was never in Europe in ww1, so he escaped the trench mentality.

  • @MrLesliedoll I have done exactly that, 30 years ago when I was stationed in Germany with the 1st Infantry Div. I went camping in the forest several times. It is beautiful and peaceful. Have to be careful of old mines and unexploded ordnance, though. Did not creep me out at all. I have a Nazi helmet that I found in there.

  • My dad, Corporal Frank Jaworek fought in the Huertgen Forest and said it was Hell on Earth! He was in Company A, 3rd Platoon with the 745 Tank Battalion. Was blown out of 3 tanks in WWII and 2 of those hit's happened in the Huertgen Forest. The cold, no place to hide, sleep was in a sense of him saying being trapped in a jungle in Vietnam. Even at daylight, it felt like night. The trees let hardly any light in. He also lost 2 close buddy's the 1st day of entering this Forest of Hell.

  • @Duerenerin hello

  • @bigbadreddog Grab a tent and a sleeping bag and head on in there.. lol! i was kinda thinking about how creeped out i'd be sleeping in that forest for a couple nights..
