@garygomesg From what I've read about Skip James apparently Clapton bought him a house also. Its a shame Skip didn't live much longer, but he was sick with cancer.

Eric throwing in a bit of La Marseillaise for his French girlfriend, Charlotte Martin, was a nice touch. Too bad she went on to marry his friend, Jimmy Page. Tchaikovsky's 1812 overture borrowed the much older Marseillaise melody btw, not the other way around.

I don't know, but Skip James was credited properly by Cream on the album. They did not take credit for the composition, like some other English (and other) bands of the time did.
