Perspectives From Two Long-Time Vegans
John Waddell wrote But You Kill Ants to help vegans respond to 100 common questions and comments and to help nonvegans understand that being vegan is a viable way to live in terms of health, the humane treatment of animals, and the environment. John is a marathon runner who won the Sydney Marathon for the Over 60s age group and has participated in numerous other marathons. He also leads young people on hiking trips all over the world.
Maureen Collier is the Secretary/Treasurer of The Vegetarian/Vegan Society of Queensland, which is located in the northeastern part of Australia. The society's aim is to provide support to vegetarians and vegans and to those wishing to make the change. They offer nutritional advice, recipes, religious views, opportunities for discussion, and more. Maureen has been acknowledged as one of the "Vegan Voices Around the World," which are leaders within the vegan movement, vegan activists, forerunners of the first vegan societies, and the like. Before joining the society, Maureen was active in Australia's Animal Liberation, an animal rights charity. Hosted by Pamela Kletke. www.veganworldradio.org
