You should ride the elevators at the Westin in NYC...
-
@NEXPAR I dont think there is an elevator at 37 MPH tower of terror in disney is 39 MPH

Low tolerance for high-speed elevators? Well you probably don't want to try the one in Tapei which does 37 mph. I used to live near San Francisco and there was an elevator in the Bank of America building that was 52 stories. That elevator did 18mph. Finally, in Portland, the elevator at the Washington Street subway station, that elevator does 26 mph and has very quick acceleration. That is one honey of a building.

these are the only elevators that serve the basement and these serve 36 floors, it takes forever to get the elevator to get to the basement when waiting for it

i actually dont mind high speed elevators except that there rare to find in CT
the way i do it is let your knees absorb the energy by bending them at a 15 to 50 gegree angle
The European equivalent of Westinghouse is Express.

@mathewbailey08 You do have a point. Westinghouse used to make a selector system that was like the one used in Express's DMR control system.

Why do you have very little tolerance for high-speed elevators?
alpaljl 1 year ago
@alpaljl Because I don't ride elevators like this very often. The last one I rode that went this fast was in ThyssenKrupp Elevator's R&D facility in Horn Lake, MS.

@ranger26a This elevator is running at 6 meters per second, or 1200 feet per minute.
This also equates to 13 miles per hour or 21 kilometers per hour.
