Technically, the DP bet wins if you roll a 12 - What the Pass Line calls "craps" and a loser, ipso facto spells a win for the DP - you just don't get paid anything. There's a difference between WINNING a bet and getting PAID something beside your bet for the win. Another way to develop the same house edge on the Don't would be to pay HALF (1:2) for first-roll 3, and EVEN (1:1) for first-roll 2 or 12. The math is the same, and the bettor would always be paid SOMETHING for a win.

The DPL has better odds for the player than the Pass Line.

Wrong!!! The Don't Pass does not win on all Crap 2 , 3 & 12. It bars & pushes 2 Crap! That's the Casino I work at. It's the house edge.
He ain't no Pit Boss! Even if he was, the Casino probably got bankrupt and shut down!

Yes..its considered a push if the 12 shows on that first comeout roll.
Bar 12 means the 12 is barred..therefore you neither win or lose, if the 12 were paid the bettor('wrong' bettor in casino jargon) would have a distinct advantage over the house but doesn't! I doubt this guys a pit boss.
this is the worst explanation ever on how to play the dont pass line... you suck

Ridiculously pedantic, shortsighted and unnecessarily limited in scope. The Dont Pass Line bet works beyond the comeout, and the craps rolls are irrelevant @ the point.
After watching this video, only using this information, let me challenge anyone to;
1)Explain how to make money or protect prop bets with the DPL.
2) What is the payoff when you bet with the house and hit a 7 AFTER a point is made?
3) When can you increase, decrease, or remove a DPL bet?
4) Can I make a DPL bet AFTER a point?
