Video of the 2 first smoke stacks to fall and video of 2 attempts to drop the third. The third dropped unexpectedly before the 3rd attempt, injuring 7.
i liked Berlin new hampshire,I was there when we rebuilt the boiler for the steam to that papermill.hope you guys are all doing ok.i hate to see your toen picked apart.where's your economy headed ?.i knew alot of folks there that worked at the boiler house with me..
I was working on main street that day and I remember feeling every bang in the store. The last one scared the crap out of me it shook the whole store....
I grew up in Berlin many years ago, and live in Texas now. I remember how the mill, and those old smokestacks were just part of life. Walking back from the community center (remember that!) at night in the middle of the winter, up to the east side, freezing your ass off, and that smell!!! All the wood trucks would be going through town, and we were even called "Hockey Town USA", imagine that!!! It is truly the end of an era. Maybe we could call it "Prison Town USA" now!
Like this if you know conner kinnerson or trey gagnon.

I lived in Berlin for a couple years,
and just like the good people of Berlin
the third stack didn't go down with out a fight. Good luck and God Bless them all.

Think of all the jobs that have been lost in Berlin.

It may have stunk, but if it wasn't for the mill, Berlin wouldn't be around. I managed through the smell.
