it seems David is talking about Mars Hill Church in Seattle...I'm guessing he is referring to Mark Driscoll who is the pastor...then and now...in Driscoll's book...confessions of a reformission rev. he meantions David leading the music there...hope that helps
I think the guy asked if Bazan still led worship at Mars Hill. And maybe David is talking about himself (the person he used to be) or maybe God when he says "I don't care for that guy anymore." He seems to hate the word "worship."
Well, since he said around '97, he is probably talking about someone at Mars Hill Church in Seattle. Not to be confused with Mars Hill Bible Church in Grand Rapids. And that's a pretty big possibility.
maybe hes talking about helicopter being released? wasnt that in 97? i read about how him and the guy who released the song got into fight about it. so maybe its that.
