@stickdeck Its because E is the relative major of C# (Db). He was moving from a Db major to the Bb relative minor chord to Db relative minor. Or in other words going from Db major sound, to a Bb minor sound to a Db minor sound. Transposing from playing in the key of Db to E. Hope it makes sense.

I've been asking the same questions too. In theory, they actually call them accidental notes cuz they r not in the main scale u playing. I just wish u could put more tutorials like that bro JT. I can read music but those accidentals kinda threw me off......and they actually sound beautiful. Thanks JT for sharing.

@charlesshamwell it is. confused the heck out of me too. b flat is the relative minor of d flat. I was trying to figure out why you would go to the key of e from d flat, because it sounds great. mabey its because they are similar. 4 flats instead of 5.
