This video gives an overview of the Atma Puja/Devi Bhava program given by Amma during her tours. Some people report that receiving a hug from Amma during the Devi Bhava is more intense than when she is dressed in white, and the atmosphere around her then is also increased. See video for other events included in this program.

You don't have to be Hindu to receive a mantra, she can give you initiation into a Divine name or mantra to whomever is your preferred form of God, including Christian forms.

Please note that the weddings, first solid-food feedings of babies, and the showering of flower petals is at the very end of the program, usually not occurring until the next morning (watch for posted signs indicating when the doors will be closed for the end, to prevent disturbance).

Most of the video is from the 1997 tour video.

Please see this link for more information about this years touring:

MUSIC for this video is the song 'Mother Please Come' by Kathy Zavada. It's the last track on her album, "I'm Right Here". For this soundtrack, the song was edited to repeat a few times w/least noticeable effect. Kathy's music is available on ITunes and mp3's available on emusic.com

  • how can she be a goddess shes a normal woman tell me the reson cuz iam a HINDU jai mata di

  • @lvit405775 I'm not disagreeing w/you entirely. The easiest way to describe it is either temporary spirit possession (invoking the spirit) or the mood (like letting go of your own personality and becoming someone else). Yes, anyone can do these things, but there's a supernatural clarity and peace of mind when you get close to her physically during DB, especially if staying for long periods. Hinduism covers many different philosophies and practices.

  • Thanx. could someone tell me what the song is named and who's the singer?

  • @neusje24 I've added the song/artist info iat the end of the description

  • Amma is the Divine incarnation of Parasakthi...During devi bhava she reveals her real nature..

  • an amazing video... beautiful work... may mother bless you for more... wishes.

  • she is a world's no.1 business group head.

  • @tommiespain its all psychological. You do not understand 1) God 2) you're connecting(incorrectly) and impressionable experience with God/religion

a person can be nice but that doesnt mean that they are knowlegeable about God

the avataras and devatas of Hinduism are anthropomorphic. But that doesnt mean it makes worship of humans acceptable or allow us to go around calling just about anyone as a saint and exaggerate them beyond what they are and endorse worship of them

  • @SatsangNuggets "he easiest way to describe it is either temporary spirit possession (invoking the spirit) or the mood (like letting go of your own personality and becoming someone else)" which Hindu scripture is this from? Theres no such as "getting possessed" by any Vedic Deity in Vedic Hinduism. This type of belief is only held by Indian Polytheists.

  • @chloe5788 Why on earth not? It was during Devi Bhava that my eyes first met hers and I took her as my guru. Everytime I watch this it takes me back...and touches me deeply.
