No one knows anything. The seige at Troy actually happened, Troy was found in Northern Turkey. Helen wasn't the start of the Trojan war, King Agamemnon (based on Akagamunas, who ruled the Hittites, or Greeks, at one point) wanted to take control of Troy to have access to a waterway where he could charge people carrying goods from Greece into Persia. The assault on his borhter's honor (Menelaus, king of Sparta, whose wife, Helen, was kidnapped by Trojan prince Paris) was an excuse to invade Troy.

Why is it that since 300 when greeks come up everyone thinks of the Spartans. The spartans weren't involved in Troy because it was a myth and a good one at that. and yes the Spartans were good warriors but they were only slightly like protrayed in 300. I think this sounds like an amazing idea because these guys were mythological meaning it makes more sense for them to be as uber powerful as the guys in dynasty warriors and other koei games

300 was actually very accurate.

Why did it ruined Greek Mythology for you? thermopylae is a historical event not a myth.
