Good to know how right he was about Palestine getting observer status.

i live here. And you're right. Fear of the unknown has replaced willingness to understand it.The proliferation of small arms, ghettoization of minorities, extreme military budgets, reduction in social benefits, and reliance on wealthy powerful corporations as defacto power structures is all from the inability of people to deal with what others have told them to fear. Don't get me wrong fear is a very useful and powerful emotion but should be reserved for snakes and the diseased not politics.

And now that Turkey has retaliated, we have come full circle. Chomsky being prescient as always.

America is just a scary country, too bad people like Chomsky dont get to be heard and understood by general public, but maybe its too logical and smart for them :(
