Recorded with a 1920's parlor guitar,a jar of change and a slide. The recording was made with a Sampson USB condenser mic and cool edit pro. The video was shot on two different dates all in downtown Athens Georgia at Nuci's Space, behind the 40 Watt Club, the sidewalk in front of Agora, Cayton St, College St & Broad St. Camera used was a Canon G12 and a Kodak DX7630. This song will be included on a full album soon.
That was great! My wife and I were stopped by a panhandler just last weekend in a grocery store parking lot. It's always interesting to hear the stories of why they need money. My wife actually gave him $6. She knew he was bullshitting, but she has a big heart sometimes. I usually tell them I got nothing. It would be cool to be rich and base the amount of money you give, on the creativity of the made up story. "Wow, here's $100. That was a great one.".
@SlackJones1 I had been planning this one for a long while, I had to get drunk and shoot those panhandlers downtown, I usually never go out anywhere....I have several other songs from this album that I want to make videos for, just takes time and that spark of imagination that I never can find when I need it, but there when I don't.
Hey listen....I'm gonna make a phone call man can I talk to you for a minute? can I bum a cigarette from you? Hey man.... you got any change? a little bit of money... what about you? ....real cool jacket man.... a little change.....man hey listen....I gotta make a phone call.... excuse me...can I talk to you for a minute?
@ronpolla "I got this jacket" i played this show twenty years ago in Cola SC, the street bums would help you carry your equipment in hoping for change, one bum was creeping around stroking this jacket like a pet kitty cat, trying to sell it to people...thats where that line came from, stuck in my head and never left....
