Here's a quick review on a ceramic curling iron. I think ceramic is the way to go for people with thick hair like me or long hair. This curling iron helps cut my curling time in half. I like it especially because it has temperature settings, from low to extra hot, ranging from 1 to 10. The handle swivels, which is helpful when curling and unwinding the barrel from your hair.

Check it out at Beautychoice.com, it's being sold for $39.95.

  • thanks 4 this review! it helped a lot

  • what's the song in the beginning, does anyone know?

  • Wow same here (sort of). I too have thick long hair and the ceramic curling irons just straighten out my hair. I would rather stick to the old fashion Conairs or Gold Hot Tools. I am sorry but ceramic isn't for everybody. My advice, use what works for you. BTW my hair is way thicker than MACupaddict's.

  • I have found that the gold-plated Hot Tools products - as opposed to the ceramic - is better.

I have extremely thick hair and I have never, EVER been able to find a curling iron that actually gave me a curl that didn't fall out in five seconds.

Then, a hairdresser friend of mine used an HT curling iron on me and I was hooked - I have 2 curling irons and the triple-barrel waver iron and I love them all.

I suggest you try the gold-plated one, or maybe even a bit smaller curling iron.

  • i just bought this curling iron except its a 1.5" i've used it about 2 times and unfortunatly to say, my curls have been coming out weak and wimpy (my hair is long, about 1 inch past my chest, not too thick or too thin)

i dont know if i'm doing anything wrong, maybe because i just started to use it.

but i really want to love it! and so far.. i can't say i fully have):

  • i am the same when i curl my hair it's like never ending...because my hair is think and long:)

  • they have the 1 and a half inch, a one and one fourth inch, and 3/4 inch and also as you can see 1 inch

  • love the curls!! Could you please do an eyebrow tutorial?? Our eyebrows are similar but I can't shape them :(

  • Try ebay n u get the same thing for $20 including shipping
