I'm the designer and programmer of Microsurgeon. It's nice to still see so many great comments about the game! I'll be speaking about Microsurgeon at the upcoming "Games for Health" conference.
-
I was recently interviewed (6/19/09) about Microsurgeon on Dave Graveline's "Into Tomorrow" radio show.

@Jedite01 There are emulators you can download to play it's game on your PC

This does look (and sound) more complex than the Intellivision version we're all familiar with.

Cool game that I only recently found out about from it's Intellivision counterpart. My friend remembered that it talked which led us to find evidence of the TI version. ricklevYT - I wonder if the makers of 'Trauma Center' were influenced by your work here?

Intellivision "Microsurgeon" is one of 240 video games nominated to possibly appear in the Smithsonian Institution exhibit on "The Art of Video Games." The public can vote on 80 of these! Enjoy voting at artofvideogames.

@rick levY there needs to be a new modern update to this game something with the same concept, maybe in first person of 3rd person views.
-
I knew about the original Intellivision version of this game, but I had no idea this was ported to the TI.
-
@jakeharvey videogamehouse has some sounds from TI 99/4a Microsurgeon, but not "paging Dr. Levine."
-
@ricklevYT Oh, wait, now I get it! "Paging Doctor Levine!" Ha!
-
@ricklevYT Wow - can I hear this online? This was one of my favorite games. There never was and probably never will be anything like it again.
