At CEATEC Japan 2008 at Makuhari Messe, NTT DoCoMo exhibited a detachable mobile phone, which allows the keypad unit and the display unit to be separated.

A call can be made just like a conventional mobile phone, even while the parts are separated.

NTT DoCoMo hasn't decided on a specific plan to commercialize this detachable phone, which is made by Fujitsu.
