quinoa is a wonder grain, high in protein, high in fiber, and low in fat. Even I can cook it, just two ingredients: quinoa and salsa. Let it boil 15min and its done.

1 serving (1/4 cup dry) has:
170 calories
6g protein
3g fiber
3g fat

For a great meal, have quinoa with 1/2 cup cooked pinto beans (or half a chicken breast) and a piece of fruit.

  • Erm can i ask, i know its a really stupid question but what does fiber do? I know protein is good for building muscles but what is the use of fiber?

    try: 1 medium onion 1 can crushed tomatoes(organic if pref) 1 cup cilantro(or shirvil) i think that might be what they call it in Europe 5 crushed medium size garlic cloves(not the whole bulbe)  4-5 jalapeños or Serrano peppers( if you can't get those try a nice spicy chilli pepper and add some freshly squeezed lime juice to your preferred taste

  • you should have a website. I'd be living by myself over the summer and all your recipes are easy to cook. I'd love to see what else you can come up with that is healthy.
