Bread Box Water Heater, part 25

112309 - 112409. Don't touch anything! The old water heater is falling apart! The tank is on its way down to the ground! I'm so glad it's out of here!

Time to call city water . . . turn off the main.

Disconnect the cold water intake. More water drains.

Disconnect the hot water out. Water geyser and floods!!!

I'm drenched! Cold and Wet.

Start again. Release the last metal holding loop, then HERE IT GOES! I remove the old hot water tank from the mobile home water closet. WHEW! Scariest part of this project by FAR.

Cold water line snaps off when I try to remove it.

Quick peak inside water closet with old water tank removed. Yech! That old soaked floor board was hanging by its last splinter.

Trip to the hardware store to get 3/4 inch copper pipes, fixtures, decorative siding, flexible pipes, and more.

Using a double wrench approach to undo a stubborn joint. Go, vice grip, go!

Preview of new tool - an edge maker, drilling hinge adaptor, and more.

Mark pipes for Hot and Cold, in and out, respectively. Don't get those confused!

youre a cutie somone is lucky to have you around.

2 things i noticed about this instillation is the cold feed to youre tub or bathtub is illegal it needs to be fed from the side after the shut off or you would have to turn off the water to the home to fix that tub water line if need be. also the gas line is brass and is now illegal it needs to be CSST or the new black flex gas line:)

if i was around i would fix it up to code for you :)
