I love New Order. I love this song. This version is nearly great - Hooky, Steven and Gillian are on song. The vocals though… I know Barney improvises the words every so often, but changing key for no reason is just painful.
Wonderful instrumental performance though, maybe stronger than the proper recording.

Favourite song of all time. Just so beautifully simplistic. Throbbing bassline, wistful guitar, and haunting strings, and the result is absolute perfection. The bit that kicks in at 4.27 is pure bliss.

Over the past week, I have viewed this video at least 100 times. I keep replaying it and it just gets better and better. adz1962, I love all your vids but this may just be my favorite. Thanks again!

It is 'sordid' in the studio version, but barney has pissed around and changed the lyrics everywhere, like he does quite a lot live.
Great song, though.
