DUNE - Secret Report (With Sound)

This is a remake of one of the opening scenes of the 1984 movie Dune, designed to make it look "better". NB: Check the WATCH IN HIGH QUALITY option to get a better view - you can actually see the stars! This is a fairly rough idea of what I have in mind... the timing on the animations are a bit off and there are a few things that still need to be added/fixed/tweaked. This is compressed from a 640x360 resolution MPG4 video made in Quicktime Pro...

Made with Adobe After Effects and Lightwave 3D.... I am currently learning 2D & 3D compositing in Fusion (and a bit of Nuke) so hopefully I can make things even better. Also learning a few other programs as well while I am working so I hope to transfer what I have learned there into this project.

You should do an Avatar/Dune trailer parody since Avatar is similar to Dune. You can use footage from this movie set to Avatar's trailer audio

How did you make the images for this video I would really like to know can you provide a step by step process I'm wanting to do computer animation but am unsure how to go about it for what kind of software that would be needed. Hopefully the software is not expensive I'm on a budget!

@WaltKaladeen You too? Where did you stay? I was at one of the mining complexes for a while, but it got really boring, so went dune-hopping for a few months with some Fremen mates. Great time, drinking, hooking up with Fremen babes, sand-surfing and, of course, tripping our tits off on Spice - my eyes got so blue-on-blue!
