First of it didn't start off with jackass and ironically this video proves it.
2.04 is a stuntman whos car drove over him. It was filmed before Jackass came out and just goes to show that Jackass are just other stunt men. There have been thousands before them.

I hate how shows like 60 minutes, today tonight and any other bullshit excuses for news shows always says "it all started with jackass...", when it clearly fucking didn't, and most of the kids who make amateur movies aren't overly influenced by jackass either, they all interact together in the underground community and are more influenced by each other and the likes of the dudesons, dirty sanchez, and the old cky videos. The media needs to do their research better...

Most of the clips at the start were just extreme sports stunts gone wrong...they weren't TRYING to stuff those stunts up.
