one of the reasons they think the world is gonna end is because the mayan calender ends. what happens when a calender ends tho??? it restarts. in 2000 people thought that everything electric would malfunction because the clocks on them didn't have enough room to fit a 2 in the thousands digit. they only went to 1999, but instead of malfunctioning they just restarted when y2k came around and they would say, for instance, Jan 1, 0001. Knowledge! :D i dont think the world's gonna end in 2012
