The impending ubiquity of SCADA systems must be noted. Serious threats are now emerging whose sole purpose is to weaken and potentially disable critical infrastructure through the exploitation of SCADA systems. Recently, STUXNET was discovered and revealed the dire possibilities of large-scale attacks on automated processes. STUXNET is the most advanced and intricate computer worm to date, leaving computer experts wondering what else is out there, and what else is coming.
