Nikon D50 problem

The camera power on, makes focus but don't take picture... as seen in video
It seems to be a common problem of older Nikon DSLR.
Any solution?

I hope you not insinuating that i forgot to insert the SD card:)

This is a realy common issue and the only way to fix it is to change one of the main boards.

It cost like a sh functional camera so it dosen't wort...

Da, trimite-l la F64 pentru reparatie. Oricum l-ai luat pentru obiectiv

F64 nu repara aparate foto.

Cei de la Skin au spus ca se poate repara, insa nu schimba doar bateria de backup, ci intreaga placa pe care se afla. Asa e prea scump.

Ok, I've got all possible replacement boards, but anybody knows which one to change. If you know the cost so can you give me a hint what to fix.

Your camera isnt showing any picture remaining count on the display no card

Do you have a memory card in it ? your manual talks about this problem and some of the causes

Isn't there a little door that has a kind of watch battery thing inside? Desktop pc's and some cameras I've den have them to store time and date. Might just need to replace them.
