  • Is that Archie Hahn at 12:00?

  • I remmeber superstars it was copied for the U.K awsome

  • I'm almost certain that the building where the two guys are talking about "The Night Stalker" (especially when the camera pulls out at 20:41 or so), is Long Beach (CA) City Hall. The skyline behind them is almost definitely Long Beach and the then-new City Hall was finally opened in 1976. This entire promo show is great for many reasons, but that one is something I find fascinating!

  • ...and "EVERYTHING MONEY CAN'T BUY" (created by Bernard Slade) was "postponed" until February 1976, when it finally aired as "GOOD HEAVENS", with Carl Reiner replacing Jose Ferrer as "Mr. Angel". It lasted 13 episodes.

  • This was SUPPOSED to be their Fall 1974 schedule. However, that June, the FCC ruled the three broadcast networks weren't going to program any shows on Saturdays and Sundays from 7-8pm(et), as previously promised. So all three had to reshuffle their schedules, dropping several new shows and moving others to different time periods than previously announced that spring. ABC dropped "WHERE'S THE FIRE?" (Sundays, 7pm)- although its two pilot episodes were "burned off" in the summer of '75...

  • Finding this has made my day. Thank you so much for posting this.

  • This was AWESOME the Texas Wheelers were my favorite.,,

  • I've been waiting forr this since I've seen ABC '69, '70 '71 and '72 promo reels!!!! Thanks for this post!!!
