There is nothing wrong with a Coalition between two parties. When you get multiple coalitions then you have issues. You can see the effects if you search up about Weihnmar germany and the period after WW1.

Its not a loophole it is there to stop repetitive elections one after another, as that leads to lower Turnout an eventually to fringe parties getting in on a lower % of votes than originally stated. So yeh it is there to stop the BNP for example getting in on 5% votes, which turned into 80% because no one could be arsed.

If you disagree with the voting system, then you should go start a petition for a new system. To be honest it is a good system, unlike proportional voting which causes mass coalitions. Also most of the points you are making are misinformed bland and born from total lack of thought. They are instant stereotypes of the bad image the tories have been slandered with by labour and the Unions (Who had caused the most damage to this countries economy since WW2)
